General Terms and Conditions regarding the contractual relationship between the General Anthroposophical Society as the organizer and the event participants.
1. Scope
These General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter "GTC") govern the contractual relationship between the General Anthroposophical Society as the organizer (hereinafter "General Anthroposophical Society") and the event participants (hereinafter "Participants").
The event within the meaning of these GTC is the 3rd International Biodynamic Research Conference 2025 (IBDRC).
The GTC become part of the contractual relationship between the General Anthroposophical Society and the Participant at the latest upon conclusion of the contract.
2. Event Offerings
The event offerings and prices are determined by the website (www.biodynamic-research.org), event flyers, or invitation letters.
3. Prices and Price Changes
The General Anthroposophical Society expressly reserves the right to make subsequent price changes. No right of withdrawal can be derived from such changes. All prices include VAT. Prices may consist of a share for catering/accommodation, the actual event fee, and other costs. Shipping or administrative costs are not included and may be charged separately by the General Anthroposophical Society.
3.1 Discounts
The regular price applies to all Participants. Discounts are only granted if requested by the guest. The right to a discount requires submitting the corresponding proof along with the registration.
The event has two price categories: the first indicates the regular price, the second the reduced price for retirees/seniors, unemployed persons, trainees, military/civil service personnel, individuals with disabilities (disability pension), and attendees who arrive from countries outside of Europe. Additional special prices may apply to specific groups (e.g., General Anthroposophical Society members or staff).
Discounts are granted only upon presentation of appropriate proof. Per person and proof, only one discounted ticket can be purchased per event. Discounts cannot be combined.
The document entitling the discount may be required upon purchase or entry.
4. Registration and Conclusion of Contract
Registration takes place via online booking at www.biodynamic-research.org and www.sektion-landwirtschaft.org. Other forms of registration may be possible.
Information on www.biodynamic-research.org, event flyers, and invitation letters does not constitute an offer in the legal sense but rather an invitation to submit an offer.
The contract is concluded only upon the explicit acceptance of the Participant's offer (registration) by the General Anthroposophical Society. This acceptance is communicated via confirmation email or verbally. The General Anthroposophical Society reserves the right to modify the seating plan and allocate different (equivalent or better) seats if necessary. Any reproduction, alteration, imitation, or resale of physical or electronic tickets for profit is expressly prohibited.
5. Payment Conditions and Ticket Delivery
Payments must be completed within 14 days of booking. Participants can pay using the online payment methods provided. The invoice amount must be paid before the event. Tickets are sent in the form of a booking confirmation by e-mail. There is no postal ticket delivery.
6. Loss or Damage of Tickets
Participants are responsible for keeping their tickets safe upon receipt and bear all risks associated with loss or damage. Replacement of lost or damaged tickets is not provided.
7. Cancellation of Orders
Cancellation of conference tickets is free up to 14 days before the event. After this period, 50% of the invoice amount is charged. If canceled on the event day or in case of non-attendance, the full invoice amount is due. Transaction fees incurred may be retained. Cancellations must be made online or in writing via email to biodynamic.research@goetheanum.ch before the deadline. Participants may designate a substitute attendee at no additional cost (subject to section 10).
8. Event Execution
Program changes, including changes in themes, speakers, schedules, or merging/splitting events, are reserved. Participants will be informed in a timely manner. If an event is postponed, the ticket remains valid for the new date. Refunds or exchanges are not possible. Each event has a minimum and maximum number of participants. If the minimum is not met, the event will typically be canceled, and fees will be refunded.
9. Audio and Video Recordings
Participants may only make recordings (photos, videos, etc.) with prior written approval from the General Anthroposophical Society. By purchasing a ticket, Participants consent to the recording, livestreaming, and later use or publication of event footage by the General Anthroposophical Society.
10. Participant Exclusion
The General Anthroposophical Society reserves the right to verify Participants’ creditworthiness. If payment is outstanding or doubts about financial solvency arise, the General Anthroposophical Society may refuse entry without liability. Participants may be excluded from events, with proportional refunds except in cases of serious misconduct.
11. Liability and Insurance
The General Anthroposophical Society disclaims all liability for damages, including personal injury, during events. Participants are responsible for their own insurance coverage. Use of facilities is at Participants’ own risk.
12. Data Protection
By registering, Participants agree to the General Anthroposophical Society electronically processing their personal data for organizational and marketing purposes. Order data is recorded by our ticket service provider pretix.eu but not shared with third parties.
13. House Rules
The General Anthroposophical Society exercises house authority in all event venues and may issue bans or take necessary actions.
14. Assignment of Claims
Assignment of claims against the General Anthroposophical Society requires prior written approval from the General Anthroposophical Society.
15. Early Contract Termination
If the General Anthroposophical Society discontinues an event offering, it may terminate the contract without liability. Participants remain liable for fees of attended events.
16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
Swiss substantive law applies. Disputes are exclusively resolved by the courts in Dornach (SO).
These GTC take effect on 1 April 2025.
